Samurai Uladh Representatives at Spanish Training Camp
Torrelavaga Irish U20 Junior Squad
The Irish Junior and Cadet Team have just returned from Torrelavaga after spending 5 days at a Spanish Training Camp.
The camp was taken by Olympic Medalist and Double World Champion Hirotaka Okada and 9th Dan Jacques Le Berre. Samurai Uladh's Donna Nash and Paul Green accompanied the Irish Squad along with Valery Vanukevich from Fudoshin Judo Club.
Three of our own club, Kathleen McNaught, Micheal McCay and Stephen McLaughlin made up part of the seven strong team that were selected to go.
All the members of Samurai Uladh performed superbly in the tough camp that consisted of a 7:30am start every morning with a run, followed by technical/randori sessions every morning from 11am to 1:30pm and every night from 7pm to 9:30pm.
The coaches also attended masterclasses every morning under the expert tuition of Professor Jacques Le Berre.
Well done to the whole squad who attended.
